I’m hiring, and doing a phone interview with a young man who just got admitted to practice law. He is an honors graduate from Hastings, which makes me plan to ask, “Why the hell are you interested in my little firm in Fresno? Don’t you know how to Google?”

T Bird has issues. The biggest right now is the trunk won’t open, and access is needed to wire in the new license plate light. But wiring diagrams did come, which should help with some of the electrical concerns. (Turn signals stopped working)

I also have year end staff reviews today, but my office manager gets to do the hard part of constructive criticism, and I get to do the fun part of telling them about bonuses and raises. Toby and I hit the road Wednesday for a mental health get away to Half Moon Bay, so this should be a pretty good week.

I hope Monday treats all of you well.

Looks promising. Work not too bad, traffic light and heater core replacement in the Jaguar is going well, might finish in one more evening.

Dumped some snow last night so thats fun. Have to  go up and get plates on the 2008 Solara. Cant transfer plates because i haven’t sold the 2004, which is sad because I’ve always had the same plates on ever vehicle I’ve owned. And Ohio doesn’t make the plate design I like anymore.

Today’s my first Monday since final exams ended, so I’m planning a longer drive between more relaxed study sessions . Learning a new language now in advance of travel plans later on.

Because big law firms suck the life out of young associates . Because you can trade off a bit of the outrageously-high salary paid to young associates at said big firms for actual training, better on-your-feet experience, a decent non-work life, a chance at having a long-term career at one place, and a boss that actually cares . And yes, Google is how he f ound you! :)
